IDG News reports (seen via The Standard) that DVD CCA, the holder of the rights to the CSS technology, has dropped its complaint against Andrew Bunner and others who published the DeCSS tools that allowed decryption of the DVDs protected by CSS. Their advocate's statement cites an "evolving legal strategy." See: Industry group drops DVD copying case.
