Caller ID for Email: Spam Fighter?

Microsoft plans to unveil "Caller ID" specs for email at a RSA conference, according to analysis at IDG News Service. Sendmail Inc. also announced impending release of tools for e-mail sender authentication. Authentication of the origin of emails is considered by many to be essential to combat spam, viruses and identity fraud.
